3 excuses we've all used to say NO to alcohol

How many times have you been to a party, stuck between a ton of bottles of wine liquor and your desire to avoid or cut back on alcohol? Faced with this, many of us do not know how to refuse this drink offered to us as soon as we arrive. Because it's not always easy to say "no thank you" without feeling out of place, we share with you the funniest excuses we've all used to refuse a drink of alcohol.

1. "I'm pregnant"

Imagine the embarrassment when that person finds out that was wrong! So yes, you've decided to cut back on your alcohol consumption and it made you feel brand new: Assume it and say "no thank you" I'll just take non-alcoholic! Nothing better than a real conversation that you remember the next day and do not feel guilty: because your reasons for taking a break are 100% valid!

2. "I have to work early tomorrow"

It's often a lie, isn't it? You just want to drink a cocktail but without alcohol! But like many of us, if not drinking makes you feel good, rather than approving your friends who are already labeling you as the "not fun" or "boring" person who doesn't drink, why not tell them about the benefits of not drinking? You will see, everyone will want to try!

3. "I take antibiotics"

"Oh, are you sick?" "But you know, a drink won't do anything" "What antibiotic are you taking?". With that excuse, get ready to receive a ton of questions you won't (can't) answer.

So you have two choices: either make sure you have a solid backing story for your imagined illness while preparing yourself for suspicious stares and people who will avoid you all night. Either you assume you don't drink and offer a JNPR mocktail to anyone who asks you questions without telling them there's no alcohol in it. You will surprise them!

PS: we agree that the simplest and most effective is still to say "no thank you, no alcohol tonight" right? ;-)
