Ice is an essential element in the preparation of cocktails: the temperature of the latter must always be very cold. In the art of making a perfect cocktail, the importance of ice is directly linked to the temperature, but also to the dilution. At the beginning of the century, bartenders even added water directly to their preparations.

Professionals do not use the same types of ice cubes for each cocktail. For a Negroni, for example, we will favor a large piece of ice, to limit dilution and cooling. For others, on the contrary, we will encourage it.

An ingredient in its own right, therefore, do not neglect your ice cubes and put large quantities in your glass when you prepare a JNPR&Tonic for example.
