Water, erythritol*, fermented ginger juice*, lemon juice*, ginger juice*. *From organic farming Erythritol is a natural sweetener discovered in 1874 and found in fruits. It has a lower sweetening power than sugar, but offers two advantages: it contains fewer calories than table sugar and does not cause tooth decay. Erythritol can be obtained industrially through a fermentation process of carbohydrates present in wheat or corn flour, using enzymes and yeasts: this fermented mixture yields a syrup that must be sterilized, filtered, purified, and finally crystallized. Erythritol crystals, even though they represent a processed product (because they result from industrial processes), have a natural origin, unlike other so-called "synthetic" sweeteners.
